This section provides instructions on how to update and modify a VLAN interface.
You can configure the following attributes on the VLAN interface:
VLAN ID. The VLAN interface name stored in the system. This field is not editable.
VLAN tag. The tag number used by the VLAN interface. This field is also not editable.
IP Address. Set the network-layer IP address of the VLAN. Supports both IPv4 and IPv6. This field is mandatory, and the Netmask field must be configured if DHCP is disabled.
Netmask/CIDR. Define the subnet Netmask of the VLAN. Supports Network mask format or CIDR (0 to 32 bits for IPv4, 0 to 128 bits for IPv6). This field is mandatory, and the IP Address field must be set if DHCP is disabled.
Gateway. Specify the default gateway (IPv4 or IPv6) used by the VLAN interface.
MAC. The link-layer MAC address of the VLAN. Generate a new random valid MAC address by clicking generate random MAC or set a custom MAC address. Use caution with custom MAC addresses to avoid duplication.
Alias. Provide an alias to identify the interface easily when configuring a farm or other services.
DHCP. Enable or disable the Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol (DHCP) for the VLAN interface. Enabling DHCP prevents static IP address configuration and requires a DHCP server running on the configured VLAN tag, reachable and operational.
IPv4 and IPv6 stacks are supported, ensuring that Netmask and Gateway are configured in the same stack as the IP.
To apply the changes, click on the Apply button. Once the configuration is updated, the VLAN interface will be updated accordingly.
