This section details the configuration and management of non-virtual Network Interface Cards (NICs).
This table displays all the non-virtual network interfaces available in the system.
NIC Interfaces Table #
This section describes how to configure and operate non-virtual Network Interface Cards.
Actions Available #
The following actions are available for selected networks:
Bring up. Start the interface and configure it to accept traffic.
Bring down. Shut down the interface and stop it from accepting traffic.
Unset. Remove the NIC configuration.
NIC Table Fields #
The NIC table list includes the following fields:
Name. The system name of the physical interface.
Alias. An easily accessible alias for the interface.
IP. Network-layer IP address of the physical interface (supports IPv4 and IPv6).
MAC. Link-layer MAC address of the physical interface.
Netmask. Subnet mask of the bonding interface if configured with an IP address.
Gateway. Default gateway used by the NIC.
Status. Indicates the status of the NIC;
- Green. NIC is UP.
- Red. NIC is DOWN or link has not been detected.
Actions. Available actions for NICs:
- Edit. Modify NIC configuration such as IP address, netmask, and gateway.
- Bring up. Start the interface to accept traffic.
- Bring down. Stop the interface from accepting traffic.
- Unset. Remove the NIC configuration.
Using the Actions menu, you can directly perform these actions on each selected interface.
