This section explains how to update and modify a Bonding interface. The panel is divided into Global Settings for configuring the interface and Slaves for selecting enabled slaves from available NICs.

Global Settings #

In this section, configure the following attributes for the bonding interface:

Name. The name of the bonding interface stored in the system. This is not editable.
Mode. Bonding mode set during the creation of the bonding interface. This is also not editable.
IP Address. Network-layer IP address of the bonding interface, supporting IPv4 and IPv6. This field is mandatory; the Netmask field must be set if DHCP is disabled.
Netmask/CIDR. Subnet mask of the bonding interface, supporting Network mask format or CIDR (0 to 32 bits for IPv4, 0 to 128 bits for IPv6). This field is mandatory; the Address field must also be set if DHCP is disabled.
Gateway. Default gateway used by the bonding interface.
MAC. Link-layer MAC address of the bonding interface. Generate a new random MAC or configure a custom MAC address. Changing the MAC for a custom address should be done cautiously to avoid duplication.
Alias. An easy-to-identify alias used when configuring a farm or any other service.
DHCP. Enable or disable DHCP for the bonding interface. Enabling DHCP prevents static IP configuration and requires a reachable DHCP server.

IPv4 and IPv6 stacks are supported, ensuring that Netmask and Gateway are configured in the same stack as the IP.

Slaves #

The Slaves panel allows selecting Available NICs to add or remove as slaves in the bonding interface.
