This section explains how to create a new set of WAF rules. A ruleset is a collection of WAF rules sharing a common theme and global configuration.
To begin, navigate to the IPDS > WAF > Rulesets menu. This will open a page similar to the one shown below. Click the Create WAF ruleset button.
This will open a form like the one below. Fill in the necessary details.
Choose a ruleset Name that is easy to remember.
Click on Copy from ruleset and select one of the suggested rulesets. This feature is useful for testing rule sets provided by the relianoid-ipds package without modifying the original ones.
If a rule from the relianoid-ipds package is modified, it will not be updated during package upgrades. These customized rules will be preserved.
After selecting a ruleset, confirm by clicking the Apply button.
Name. The descriptive name of the new rule.
Copy ruleset. Create a new rule based on an existing one.
