This section provides a comprehensive status overview of the GSLB farm, including Backend Stats, Client Requests, Server Requests, and Extended Stats.
GSLB Backend Stats #
The Backends Stats table shows the following information:
Service. Descriptive name of the farm service.
IP. IP address of the backend.
Port. TCP port of the backend being monitored.
Status. Current status of the backend.
- Green. Backend is UP and operating normally.
- Red. Backend is unreachable despite the farm being UP.
- Gray. Status is unknown; typically occurs when the farm is stopped and the backend is not in maintenance mode.
GSLB Client Stats #
The Client Stats table provides details about DNS queries made to the GSLB farm and their responses. It includes the following information:
Extended DNS Big. Number of EDNS UDP responses that were excessively large.
Extended DNS Truncated. Number of truncated EDNS responses due to their length.
Failed REQ. Count of failed requests from clients.
Requests. Total number of client requests.
Failed RES. Count of failed responses sent to clients.
Tuncated Response TC. Responses that were truncated because they exceeded length limits, with the TC bit set and indicated to the client.
GSLB Server Stats #
The Server Stats section displays DNS queries and responses exchanged with the backends, featuring the following details:
Requests. Number of requests forwarded to the backends.
Failed Requests. Number of failed requests from clients.
Failed Responses. Number of failed responses from backends.
GSLB Extended Stats #
The Extended Stats section provides additional GSLB farm-related information:
Bad Version: DNS requests with an incorrect DNS version number.
Dropped:. DNS queries dropped by DNS servers.
Extended DNS: DNS queries using EDNS.
Extended DNS-Clientsub: DNS queries using EDNS with client subnet extension.
Format Error: DNS queries with incorrect format.
No Error: Successful DNS transactions.
NotImp: DNS requests answered with a NotImp error, indicating the DNS server does not support DNS update requests.
Non-Existent Domain: DNS queries for a domain that cannot be resolved.
Refused: DNS requests refused by the server.
V6: DNS queries requesting an IPv6 address.
By default, the statistics in this section display real-time data for the current farm, with options to configure updates every 10, 30, 60, or 120 seconds.
