Intro #
Zevenet ADC Load Balancer is not longer supported since July 2023, but RELIANOID ADC Load Balancer will continue with the development, support and full maintenance of the project. For that reason, it will be required to migrate from Zevenet to RELIANOID and ensure to be up-to-date.
In this article, we’re going to explain how to migrate from Zevenet Load Balancer Community Edition v5.12/v5.13 to RELIANOID ADC Load Balancer Community Edition and continue to take advantage of all the new features, updates and upgrades, with a very simple steps.
Update APT Sources #
Firstly, make a backup of your current Community Edition load balancer. Then, please edit the file /etc/apt/sources.list.d/zevenet.list and ensure to have the following content, pointing to repo.relianoid.com as it’s show below.
root@zvnce:~# cat /etc/apt/sources.list.d/zevenet.list deb http://repo.relianoid.com/ce/v5/ buster main
Update package list #
After that, continue updating the package list available in the new RELIANOID repository by executing /usr/local/zevenet/bin/checkupdates as it’s show below.
root@zvnce:~# /usr/local/zevenet/bin/checkupdates 89 package(s) require upgrade To upgrade, execute: checkupdates -i, or help with checkupdates -h
Launch the upgrade #
Finally, apply the update by executing /usr/local/zevenet/bin/checkupdates -i
