I have a very simple configuration on my Zevenet CE. It does one thing, and does it very well.
It has worked so well, that I am afraid I have neglected to keep it updated. It is at Ver5.0
The migration document is for Zevenet CE ver 5.12/5.13. I suspect it would work for 5.0 (my version) but do not want to test my theory/assumption.
Rather than perform the upgrade, I was thinking I might do this:
Install a brand-new VM of Relianoid CE
Configure it the same way as the Zevenet CE load balancer (I only have one LSLB farm, so this task should be fairly straightforward)
I have 2 questions:
a) Is this a good idea?
b) If the answer to a is not “Don’t do it”, then what about the certificate? Can I export that from the Zevenet CE and import it into Relianoid CE, or do I need to create a new one? (I use a self-signed SSL cert)
Thanks
Hi!
If your configuration is simple, you could deploy a new instance of RELIANOID CE Load Balancer and then, apply the configuration.
In regards to the SSL certificates, you can copy them without concern to the new instance.
Kind Regards.
Just to add that next week will be a new release of RELIANOID CE, so probably you could wait until it is released and enjoy of the new features.
Cheers.
