Release Notes

The latest release of RELIANOID Load Balancer Enterprise Version 6.2.33 introduces significant improvements and bug fixes aimed at enhancing both performance and security. Notably, the installation process for IPDS has been optimized, resulting in a noticeable speedup in the installation package. Additionally, enhancements to the update system process ensure that applying updates is now more efficient and seamless. Moreover, improvements in recognizing repository signatures bolster the security of the system by providing better validation mechanisms.

In terms of bug fixes, several critical issues have been addressed to fortify the reliability and stability of the load balancer. For instance, the addition of base-files as a dependency resolves dependency conflicts, ensuring smoother operation. Furthermore, a fix for repository key updates during the activation certificate upload process prevents potential security vulnerabilities. Additionally, resolving Python dependencies (which fixes the letsencrypt subsystem) and cleaning up repository GPG keys contribute to a more streamlined and secure system overall. Moreover, rectifying missing configurations for SSH eliminates potential security risks, enhancing the overall robustness of the system.

Furthermore, the release includes a fix for an SSL-related issue where an undefined subroutine in letsencrypt was causing interruptions in SSL functionality. This fix ensures uninterrupted SSL operation, crucial for maintaining secure communication channels. Lastly, the resolution of multiple security advisories, including CVE-2023-27534, CVE-2024-0985, and others, underscores RELIANOID’s commitment to addressing potential vulnerabilities promptly and ensuring the utmost security for users’ load balancing environments.
